Hi There Charitywalksblog,
This question may be a little off-topic There are a lot of daily tasks that become increasingly difficult with age. Often, this is as a result of mobility limiting diseases, such as arthritis. Walking around and standing up without any help is one of the more common difficulties people have, but limited vision can also make things like driving much more difficult as well. Falling while standing up and the inability to stand independently are some of the more common obstacles to those who are older, so often a lift chair is used in the home.
BTW great blogpost

Sheena,
Arthritis has a larger impact on families than many people understand. That is one of the reasons there are so many passionate about supporting the Arthritis foundation through events like the Arthritis Walk. Your support is appreciated.

It's good to see how people are working together to help others. I was really amazed that a lot of participants still joined the Richmond Arthritis walk even though it rained in the morning. I hope the fund raising activity of Arthritis Foundation would help many arthritis sufferers.

Hi!

I have always been active in a lot of fundraising activities. I understand the happiness and fulfillment that the participants feel during this activities, in this case the "Richmond Arthritis Walk". It always feels good to do something for those who are in need. It's nice to know that the Arthritis Foundation in the US are active in finding help for the 46 million Americans who are suffering from the disease.

This is a wonderful event for those who are experiencing arthritis and those who are supporting the cause. I think the walk is very symbolic and is a way for encouraging the people to stay healthy despite their old age. By the way, is this event done every year?

my father suffered from arthritis at a relatively young age. We wouldn't be able to attend your 2011 event but I know that my dad would love to make a donation. I see that the event is less than a week away, we will be in the area and hopefully will be able to at least watch. Good luck!
