Nonprofit organizations typically set fundraising goals for each of their special events, even before the planning committees are formed. These goals are needed so that budgets and plans for the future can be set. A significant amount of research and predictions can go into setting these goals to ensure they are challenging but achievable.
But I don’t believe these goals should be used to manage the charity walk event. I believe there are problems with giving the charity walk committee the fundraising goals.
You want the committee members to own the goals. They will be more motivated to achieve the goals. The best way to do this is for the committee to discuss and determine their own goals.
Also, the goals of the organization may not take into account the enthusiasm of the volunteers who lead the event. By allowing the committee to set their own goals, even higher goals might be set that will exceed all expectations. The walk committee could be held back from their potential if goals are imposed on them.
Empower your charity walk committee to set their destiny and be their best. The ultimate results may surprise you.

Everyone will have to set their own goals instead of setting a group goal as each n everyone will have their own strength in a charity walks. Instead of forcing everyone to follow 1 main goal, it is better that everyone can set their own goals and even better when they are able achieve it.
Every goal must take a good plan and many idea’s to conduct it successfully, By these you will impressed with the outcome of your plan.

When you are in a organization, every member or committee should act as one in order to achieve your goals. But before achieving your own goals, you should first meet your organization’s goals for charity. In this way, you will not worry how to do it or achieve it. Because you are as one. Remember two heads are better than one.

This allowed for us to have a personalized site, and each participant or parent can register their child/themselves. And then it’s simple, you can send out email requests via email or use facebook or twitter and request donations. You can reach family all over the world. Our team/club went from raising $10,000 last year to $26,300 this year. Fantastic, no money collection all for donors to pay online via Paypal. our club set up their own paypal account so money went directly into account. And a very small one time fee by the company and they do the hosting, send excel reports, and set up our own site. We would never do another way. so simple

If you really want a well-organized charity walk you have to discuss it with your committee to avoid confusion and trouble in the end. You must have one goal by acting as one. I do not see any problem in planning first before doing anything.
