A great time to wear them as you describe is when you are out running walking for exercise or at the health club working out.

I wonder if there was another item you would be just as happy to buy, but would be used or displayed in locations others would see and become a conversation starter about the cause.

I agree as long as the method does not violate the ethics of the organization the funds raised will be a benefit. But if another product sold might raise more money and/or awareness, that should be considered. The decision should not be based solely on “tradition.”

I am not against doing it and I suspect there are some localities where T-shirts are critical. I would just like to challenge the organization to consider what they expect the t-shirts to accomplish and consider other alternatives that might be more effective.

I’ve found that the only time I wear a charity walk t-shirt after the fact is when I need a shirt that I can get dirty and stained without worrying about ruining a “good” shirt.

I love sponsoring charity events by buying charity walk t-shirts even though most of the time I really don’t wear them, I collect them.

Thanks for the idea. I am going to check into how this could be done. I suspect some of the options would cost more than it would be worth. However, there may be one or more inexpensive options to consider. Thanks!

You had some very good ideas. I think times are changing and people don’t want t shirts with all the sponsors but might wear them with just the charity event for a short time.

Maybe use something sticky to past on the back for sponsors that can be removed after the event.

My mom has picked up a couple at second hand stores, so people are not using them very much.

I think charity walk T-shirts serve their purpose when people buy them to support the event even if they don’t really use them.
